Outdoor Wedding Ceremony Tips
Tips to planning your outdoor wedding ceremony.
- Before your wedding day, take a trip to your ceremony site to check out the lighting during the time of day your ceremony will take place. Outdoor ceremonies are great, but in the summer, the sunlight directly overhead can cause trouble for you and your guests. Midday ceremonies can get very hot and uncomfortable and also cause some extreme shadows on your images, not to mention it may be hard to keep your eyes open to see your spouse while you say “I Do”. If you are planning an outdoor ceremony midday, look for options in the shade if possible.
- Consider having a cooler full of water for your guests during your ceremony.
- Make sure that your area has been sprayed for wasps and/or mosquitoes.
- You will want your DJ present to set up a microphone so your guests can hear your officiant.
