Fort Myers Engagement Photos

My first time in Fort Myers was nothing short of incredible! With seven miles of white sandy beaches, clear blue waters, and gorgeous greenery, it was the perfect spot for an engagement session.

I loved exploring secluded locations like Bowditch Point Park and Bunche Beach—each spot brought its own unique vibe and made the photos feel so personal and timeless. Fort Myers has officially earned a spot on my list of favorite places to shoot!

South Florida Engagement Photo Locations

From beaches to gardens, Fort Myers is just one of many incredible South Florida locations for engagement photos. If you’re looking for some unforgettable backdrops, here are a few more spots worth checking out:

  • Lovers Key State Park, Fort Myers, FL
With stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico, Lovers Key State Park is ideal for peaceful, nature-filled photos. The driftwood trees here add a rustic, one-of-a-kind vibe to your session—perfect for something a little different.
  • Coconut Grove, Miami, FL
No South Florida list would be complete without Miami! Coconut Grove has everything from waterfront views to charming streets, plus that iconic skyline. It’s a mix of old Florida character and modern energy that works beautifully in photos.
  • Bowditch Point Park, Fort Myers, FL
This gem in Fort Myers features a rock jetty that’s perfect for sunrise or sunset portraits. While you can’t climb it, the jetty adds such a cool element to your backdrop.
  • Everglades National Park, Everglades, FL
If you’re up for something unique, the Everglades is a must. The dramatic mix of wetlands, swamps, and wildlife brings a fun and adventurous twist to any engagement session.
  • Downtown Fort Myers, Fort Myers, FL
For a more city-inspired vibe, Downtown Fort Myers is the way to go. Between its stunning architecture and urban charm, it’s an amazing spot to capture something modern yet timeless.

When to Take Florida Engagement Photos

If you’ve picked your dreamy Florida spot, now it’s all about timing. It totally depends on the vibe you want to capture, but here’s a little help:

  • Spring (March-May): It’s Florida at its finest! The weather is warm but not too hot, and the flowers are in full bloom. The perfect lighting and lush surroundings create a dreamy, romantic backdrop.
  • Summer (June-August): Okay, let’s be real—Florida summers are hot. But if you don’t mind the heat, those dramatic, golden-hour sunsets are so worth it. Additionally, you can play with the sun rays in your photos.
  • Fall (September-November): Florida doesn’t have classic autumn colors or falling leaves, but the weather’s mild, and the crowds thin out, giving you access to all the perfect engagement spots.
  • Winter (December – February): With just perfect temperatures and bright blue skies, Florida’s winter is hands-down one of the best seasons for outdoor engagement sessions, especially if you’re looking for calm, intimate vibes.
