You want to avoid the winter as itt’s typically will be rainy and it will be much harder to navigate the area. Your best bet for an elopement at Salt Flats will be during the summertime!

The Salt Flats is managed by BLM, so heading to this website will have the most up to date information about permits! Make sure you are prepared and have what you need ahead of time! And keep in mind that because Salt Flats is about a 2 hour drive from Salt Lake City, you will need to plan ahead with any vendors to accommodate that.
