Sometimes, love has a way of finding us in the most unexpected moments. Michelle and Kye’s lives intersected during a routine visit to the bank, and little did they know, it would be the start of their love story. Their story is ones for the movies. I had the honor of photographing their engagement session in Mandan, ND. The love they share for each other is so raw. The weather was absolutely perfect and it made for the best night!
If there’s one thing I love, it’s love. Being able to photograph your love story truly brings joy to my life. I think about my own wedding and reminisce about the feelings of joy, peace, and love that filled my heart that day. It makes me so excited for others to feel those emotions as well.
Engagement sessions hold a special place in my heart. As an engagement photographer, I have had the privilege of capturing the raw emotions and genuine connections between couples during these sessions. These sessions are just the two of you. There’s no stress of the wedding day, no bridal party watching you. It’s time for the two of you to enjoy each other, whisper about why you love each other and what you’re most excited about when it comes to marrying your special someone.

Just a short drive from Bismarck is Harmon Lake in Mandan, North Dakota and it’s definitely a favorite location of mine! You have the stunning green rolling hills, the lake views, and for this session we even had the gorgeous wildflowers. It’s a spot that is a perfect backdrop for your engagement photos to give you a romantic and elegant vibe.
